The digital archimeter allows the measurement of curvature radii and diameters using the principle of the circumference passing through three points.
The digital archimeter is a precision instrument that allows the measurement of diameters and curvature radii in all those cases where it is not possible to use a caliper or a micrometer.
To measure a radius or diameter (1) it is sufficient to place the digital archimeter (2) on the surface of the object to be measured.
The electronic controller of the digital archimeter stores the string value (3) referring to the distance between the two support points.
The value of the chord depends on the type of accessory installed on the digital archmeter and allows it to adapt to small, medium or large radii.
The electronic controller allows to measure the displacement of the rod (4) placed exactly at the centre of the two supports.
The microprocessor installed in the electronic controller calculates the radius or diameter value applying a trigonometric formula.
La measurement is instantaneous and can be viewed both in mm and inches, both in diameter and radius value.
The archimeter is a measuring instrument that can be used even by non-expert personnel and in a few seconds it is possible to obtain measurements that would not be possible in any other way except by comparing them with real models of known radii (comparison templates).
The measurement can also be made on profiles with variable radii, as long as the radius remains constant in the section on which the instrument rests.
Technical features
This radius gauge allows direct and instantaneous reading of inside or outside radius values for a wide range of curves, profiles, diameters and cylindrical objects.
- Comfort: there is no need to cut out templates to find out the radius of a curve, nor to remove the piece from the machine to measure it and not even to extract the part from its installation location (for example underground pipes, installed tanks, positioned and fixed calenders)
- Ease of use: it's easy to use and the measurement process is lightning fast. Simply place the gauge inside or outside the curve to automatically obtain the value of the radius of curvature or the diameter of the object.
- Multi-material: the gauge is suitable for any type of solid material such as steel, wood or plastic materials.
- High precision: the margin of error on the radius is only 0,1 mm (the measurement accuracy depends on the superficial quality of the solid to be measured and it is necessary to work on a surface without depressions or with high surface roughness to obtain maximum precision).
- Field of application: this radius gauge is supplied with different measuring arcs and with different angles of support. The use of the various arcs offers a measurement range between 100 and 10000 mm.
Innovative and versatile
- Immediacy in reading with the digital comparator: It allows for immediate and precise reading of measurements, reducing the margin of human error.
- Easy to program and use :fsimplifies the measuring process thanks to the intuitive digital interface.
- User-Friendly :It does not require advanced technical skills to be used effectively. Ideal for maintenance operators and technicians who need a reliable and easy to use tool.
- Handling multiple bend radii: A single instrument can be used to measure different bend radii, making it extremely versatile and convenient.
