Digital height gauges

Digital gauges for measurements on test bench

Il graduated gauge (or height gauge) is a measuring instrument used to measure the height of a surface with respect to a reference plane.

The gauge consists of a graduated rod rigidly fixed on a heavy base. The rod is fixed in such a way as to be perfectly orthogonal to the support surface on which the base is placed. A slider, equipped with an index, not unlike a vernier caliper. A point is fixed on the slide which serves as beat for the dimensions to be measured.

The slide also has a screw locking system to avoid accidentally losing the measurement while handling the instrument.

Normally, the rods are made with a height between 200 and 1000 mm, thus limiting the measurements within these values.
