RODER's EDAC and UDAC family is one family of analog and digital I/O modules with Ethernet and USB interfaces which allows users to acquire, process, store and send data in real time.

The modules are ideal for applications such as data acquisition systems, test bench, quality control, environmental monitoring, industrial automation, etc. They are highly configurable and can be programmed using Microsoft's Visual Studio development environment.

Users can easily connect to external devices such as analog sensors, digital relays or serial devices thanks to the various interfaces provided by the EDAC and UDAC modules.

In addition to the serial/USB connection, the 10/100 Mbps Ethernet interface is also available for direct LAN/WAN connection.

The EDAC / UDAC modules have a compact design which makes them easy to install in the appropriate interfaces or metal boxes supplied by RODER. This solution allows for quick assembly and eliminates errors associated with hardware mating during the installation phase.

The modules can be used with all the main operating systems available on the market: Windows XP/7/8//10 (32/64 bit), Linux (Kernel 2.6+) and Mac OS X 10+.

EDAC units are analog I/O modules that support the measurement of 0-10V, 4-20mA or 0-20mA signals. Variants with PT100 or RTD sensors are also available. The modules can be cascaded up to 256 channels in total, thus offering maximum flexibility in handling analog signals.

With these capabilities, users can easily create controllers to control the most complex industrial tasks. For more demanding applications it is also possible to expand the units up to 256 channels by further adding EDAC / UDAC modules as needed.

EBoth product families can be used directly without any internal configuration thanks to the programmability guaranteed by the powerful DATASINK software supplied by RODER with which it is possible to acquire the application data or view them in real time during the execution of the test. Furthermore, the software allows the configuration of the inputs / outputs and possibly the use of the memory as a data repository or programmable logic processor which can be programmed directly by the user using a high level language based on C# .NET Framework or relying on dedicated tools such as Labview .
